Q. You've always promoted the use of adhesives in assembly operations, which we would expect you to do. But is there any situation or set of circumstances that would make you not recommend an adhesive?
A. Actually, there are a few, but only a few. We are firmly of the belief that a adhesives can solve most assembly problems, eliminating mechanical fasteners, welding, stitching, nailing, stapling, riveting and most other forms of attachment. That being said, there are some assembly applications, or process conditions, or use conditions that are contraindicative for using adhesives.
