IN TERMS OF CULTURE, history and vacation spots, any world traveler can tell you that Europe is much different than the United States. In the world of adhesives, however, the trends and issues in the region mirror the U.S. Issues such as environmental restrictions, cost cutting, a troublesome economy and customer service are keeping adhesives executives in both Europe and America up at night. According to experts, packaging, transportation, tapes, rigid bonding and construction are the leading sectors for adhesives in Europe. France, Germany and Italy account for nearly 60 percent of total adhesive volume, experts say.
