CEOS HAVE A LOT on their minds these days. Shrinking profit margins, worried investors and stagnant product categories give them enough to be concerned about. But throw in a shaky economy, rising raw material costs and other fear factors, and you wonder how Corporate America gets any sleep at night.

Industry members report that these and other factors negatively impacted 2002 financials for many adhesives and sealants companies. As a result, manufacturers launched aggressive cost-cutting and restructuring plans to bolster sagging bottom lines.
