Abstract

In 1995, SaraKay Smullens was instrumental in forming a coalition, the Sabbath of Domestic Peace, to involve and educate clergy of all demoninations about the realities of domestic violence. She describes clergy active participation as "the missing link" in addressing this virulent epidemic. The following paper describes the mission and focus of the Sabbath of Domestic Peace coalition, its rotating sponsorships and the process through which it came into being.
