Both SCP Pool Corp. and Pentair Inc. have been recognized as a top-performing stock of the past decade and a best pick for 2006, respectively. Covington, La.-based SCP was ranked 8th on The Motley Fool's annual ranking of the 10 best stocks of the past decade. Manuel J. Perez de la Mesa, SCP's president/CEO, noted that Fortune recently named SCP one of America's best-managed companies.
In Business Week's annual "Where to Invest in 2006" guide, the stock of Pentair in Golden Valley, Minn. was named one of the top public works picks for this year.
