* A training programme on the Convention for the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW Convention) was held from 19 to 22 December 2001 in Mumbai. Adopted by the UN General Assembly on 19 December 1979, the Convention became an international treaty on 3 December 1981 after the twentieth country had ratified it.
