The first nationwide conference of community health workers was held on December 10-12, 2002 in Antipolo City. Over 120 men and women from all walks of life gathered to find a common solution to women's health problems. Several resource persons including Dr Ramon Paterno, consultant to the Department of Health's Doctor to the Barrios Programmme; Ms Cookie Diokno, secretary-general of Legal Assistance Group and congresswoman Krisal Lagman-Luistro participated.
