Invitrogen launched a new color for its Molecular Probes Qdot nanocrystal product line. These Qdot 625 nanocrystals emit at 625 nm and are bright visible fluorescent labels. These quantum dots fill a spectral gap for single-source, multi-color labeling experiments. Current products employing the new Qdot 625 nanocrystals include the Qdot 625 streptavidin, Qdot 625 goat F(ab')2 anti-mouse IgG, and Qdot 625 F(ab')2 anti-rabbit IgG conjugates. When excited by a single light source, such as a 405 nm or 48 nm laser, Qdot nanocrystals emit in a range of brilliant colors of narrow spectra with exceptional photostability.
