Pfizer targets breath strips at low-carb dieters.(NEWS)(Brief Article)

NEW YORK -- In an effort to breathe new life into the breath strip sector, Pfizer, Inc. plans to relabel Listerine PocketPaks as a solution for the bad breath that can be caused by low-carb diets. The company will partner with CVS drugstores later this year to test carb-free PocketPaks. [ILLUSTRATION OMITTED] According to Information Resources Inc., sales of PocketPaks tallied $57 million for the 52 weeks ended June 13.

When introduced to the market in 2001, the brand recorded sales of more than $100 million.
