EXXONMOBIL AND REPSOL YPF REACH TOLLING AGREEMENT IN ARGENTINA
ExxonMobil Chemical has reached an agreement under which ExxonMobil will market output from Repsol YPF's oxo-alcohols plant at Buenos Aires. The deal includes an option for ExxonMobil to buy the plant. Terms of the deal and the date of expiration of the option were not disclosed.
ExxonMobil's Argentine affiliate Esso Petrolera Argentina (Corboda) will market all output from the 35,OOO-m.t./year oxo-alcohols plant operated by YPF (Buenos Aires), Repsol YPF's Argentine affiliate. YPF will continue to operate the plant, and it will obtain propylene feedstock from Repsol YPF's refinery at La Plata.
ExxonMobil had been Repsol YPF's largest oxo-alcohol customer in South America's Southern Cone, says Repsol.
