Coal-based Methanol Project Launched in Shanxi Changzhi.(Brief Article)(Statistical Data Included)

The early stage of Shanxi coal-based methanol project has recently been launched in Changzhi. It will therefore become the biggest methanol production base in China.

The existing capacity in Lubao Group will be taken as the base to establish the first ecological industrial park in China based on coal comprehensive processing and utilization. A200 000 t/a coal-based methanol project, the biggest in China, will be constructed to promote 2.0 million t/a coke project in the park. To accelerate the implementation of the project, Changzhi has used functioning modes of the market economy and invited 8 enterprises and research units to join.
