Yanhua butyl rubber renovation project launched.(Sinopec Beijing Yanhua Petrochemical Company Ltd.)(Brief article)

The 45 000 t/a butyl rubber renovation and expansion project recently launched in Sinopec Beijing Yanhua Petrochemical Company Ltd. It is estimated that by 2010 the butyl rubber capacity will reach 135 000 t/a in the company, including 45 000 t/a normal butyl rubber and 90 000 t/a halobutyl rubber. According to the experts, Beijing Yanhua adopts butyl rubber technology from PI Corporation of Italy and matches the industrial process of its own to develop the complete butyl rubber technology today.
It is released that the project will be executed in two phases. In the first phase, the capacity of the existing butyl rubber unit is planned to reach 45 000 t/a by the end of 2007 so that the domestic demand of normal butyl rubber can be guaranteed. Meanwhile, the...
