CNOOC signs agreement with Hainan Provincial Government.(NEWSDESK: Agreement)(China National Offshore Oil Corp.)(Brief article)

CNOOC and Hainan Provincial Government signed a framework agreement on strategic cooperation in Haikou on December 13th. Six major cooperation projects related to natural gas utilization, petrochemical production and social welfare are included in the agreement.
According to the agreement, CNOOC will further increase investments in Hainan to support the economic development and petrochemical projects in the province. Hainan Provincial Government will provide CNOOC with sound external conditions and policy support especially in project selection, land acquisition and new energy.
Since 1996 CNOOC has made a total investment of nearly RMB10 billion in Hainan and constructed a few projects such as the 1.32 million t/a urea unit, the 600 000 t/a methanol...
