"Carol-Ann and I are drawn to things created by hand, whether old or new," says Connie Beale, who, with business partner Carol-Ann Speros, owns Button, in Greenwich, Conn. The pair, who have worked together in interior design since 1996, opened their home-design shop in 2002. "To us, the name Button calls to mind something that is interesting and often unique, but at the same time useful, comfortable, and familiar," says Connie, noting that these are the same attributes she and Carol-Ann look for in their shop's furniture and home accessories.
