The Iridium (http://rbi.ims.ca/4402-535) Global Sentinel real-time technology on the containers will communicate using Iridium's global network, notifying PANYNJ when unauthorized entry, route deviation, or other abnormal occurrences arise. The initial test, funded by the Department of Homeland Security, will track over 1,000 containers during 2006. "DHS is an important customer to us.
