Adding to the total of teen-targeted magazines is Thalia, launched in April by American Media Inc. (AMI). Focusing on the Hispanic audience, the publication, inspired by international recording star Thalia Sodi, will contain a mixture of health, beauty, fashion and spiritual tips, as well as celebrity interviews and features.

"As Oprah made her magazine one of the best sellers in the industry, we feel Thalia has the same strong appeal with her very loyal fan base and is poised to become a major presence in the publishing world," said David Pecker, chairman and CEO, AMI.
