Tom's of Maine received Halal certification, one of the few personal care companies to receive it. The Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America (IFANCA) awarded the certification. Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted, and its symbol now will appear on all of Tom's of Maine packaging. The company also has kosher certification.
