Topic: RSS FeedDesigner watch: James Ferragamo: by shaking up shapes and using sexy skins, Salvatore's grandson will make the brand's bags as famous as its shoes.(HOTTEST, NEWEST, LATEST)
Harper's Bazaar, April, 2006 by Martin, J.J.
There's much to marvel at inside the Ferragamo family's 13th-century palazzo in Florence: priceless baroque art, 30-foot frescoed ceilings, a private chapel that glimmers with gold leaf. But it's the dashing young man in the formal pinstripe suit and shiny burgundy shoes, with perfect four-day stubble, who really turns your head. James Ferragamo, the 34-year-old grandson of shoe maestro Salvatore Ferragamo, is the company's handsome handbag man, and under his stewardship Ferragamo purses have magically popped up on the elegant arms of women coast to coast, from designer Rachel Roy to actress Eva Mendes. This October he'll be on hand when the house receives the Rodeo Drive Walk of Style award.
