Salon.com, an Internet media company, has joined forces with WindWire's wireless advertising network. Founded in 1995, Salon.com produces a network of 12 original content sites; maintains Salon Shop, an e-commerce gateway; and hosts two communities, TabLe Talk and The WELL. The addition of Salon.com to WindWire's ad network increases the company's roster of content providers, which already includes 10 Best, iEntertainment, Froghop, RestaurantRow and The WeatherGuys.
