FCC Heavyweights Weigh In On Bush Transition.(FCC transition advisory team)(Government Activity)

WASHINGTON--When President-elect George W. Bush recently named a staggering 474 people to transition advisory teams, Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura was his pick to sit on a team focusing on U.S. trade.

Although the list of five FCC advisors is short when compared to the long lists of energy, agriculture and other team members, it includes a few heavyweights of its own. The FCC transition advisory team is a who's who of Washington telecom insiders, such as former FCC chairman Richard Wiley. Bush also selected Bruce Mehlman, policy counsel for Cisco Systems Inc.; Charles Dolan, chairman of Cablevision Systems Inc.; J. Patrick Barrett, president of Telergy Inc.; and Adam Lindemann, chairman and CEO of Lindemann Capital Partners.
