FAA upgrades messaging software. (Paging/Messaging).

As heightened attention on the reliability and efficiency of wireless messaging continues in the wake of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the Federal Aviation Administration has decided to upgrade its existing paging software.
Emergin Inc. last week announced it has completed installation of WirelessOffice 4.0, its wireless messaging software, at the FAA, which will deliver real-time notification in emergency situations. FAA technical and facility managers use WirelessOffice to broadcast critical conditions such as security alerts, utility outages or authorization breaches to staff and security personnel within the FAA Operations Center or at external support sites.
