Actiontec Electronics Inc. released the 802.11a Wireless Networking Card, allowing users of home and office networks to access their riles and peripherals at high speed. Designed to fit into any notebook, handheld or desktop computer equipped with a 32-bit Cardbus port, the 802.11a card gives users access to their network at speeds up to 54 megabits per second. The card can coexist with other networks, including those based on 802.11b technology. It uses Radio-on-a-Chip technology developed by Atheros Communications Inc.
