GN Netcom received Bluetooth Version 1.1 certification for its new wireless headset, which features a disc-shaped body and a slender, patent-pending "flip boom" microphone that folds neatly into the headset. To power on the unit and answer a call, the user simply opens the boom. Closing the boom turns off the unit, preserving battery life and protecting the microphone. The entire device weighs less than 1 ounce.
