Novatel seals deal to lower costs.(with LG Innotek and Wireless KNowledge)

Novatel Wireless announced two deals aimed at lowering costs and expanding its sales exposure. In a deal with LG Innotek, a manufacturing subsidiary of South Korea's LG Group, Novatel will outsource a majority of its wireless data modern component-making to LG Innotek. The manufacturer will develop the components at its Seoul-based plant under the new alliance.

"While we focus on making wireless data products more effective, Novatel Wireless can focus on [research and development] and together we can deliver a compelling offering to wireless service providers and technology leaders," says Harry Kang, LG Innotek's U.S. branch manager.
