IT SEEMS LATELY that wireless phone service has taken some licks in the media and in public opinion. So I would like to share something that I believe demonstrates what many of us take lot granted--how wireless phones improve the quality of our lives.

As a former CTIA spokesperson, I often talked about the safety, security and convenience that wireless phones offer consumers. I recently got an up close and personal reminder when my wife and I were involved in an automobile crash in Wilkes Barre, Pa.
