Mobile dating platforms offer revenue-generating opportunities, but security concerns slow down uptake on the LBS component.
When the use of cameraphones and text messaging began to intensify several years ago, online dating companies pounced on the opportunity to expand their offerings to wireless.
But developing mobile dating applications took time. And it wasn't exactly love at first sight for carriers besieged by throngs of developers, all touting their applications as the next big thing.
