The Open Mobile Alliance has made progress with its OMA 2.0 standard, but there are still some disconnects.
As consumers' mobile content appetites grow, so do concerns about digital rights management (DRM). Most DRM is currently handled by aggregators, publishers that carriers select, but content companies may start to weigh in on the existing DRM solutions, particularly when it comes to accounting, auditing and payment for rights to certain types of content.
