Its large market is an attraction for investors in electronic industry in the country, and the market is still growing promising profit for investors. The government encourages development of electronic industry as it comes in line with its long term program to make the industry a major export earner and an economic backbone for the country in the future.

Based on data at the Industry Ministry, from 2004 to April 2005, the government issued licenses to 19 new investment projects valued at USS 19 million in electronic industry and 32 electronic companies already held approvals for capacity expansion with a planned investment of USS 184 million.
