CITY AXIS TO ACQUIRE OIL PALM PLANTATION OF INDOFOOD. City Axis Holding Ltd., a property and construction company with operation in Asia Pacific region, will acquire an oil palm plantation of PT Indofood Sukses Makmur Tbk. at a price of S$ 392.7 million (US$ 54.3 million). Indofood has signed a conditional sales and purchase agreement with City Axis, valued at US$ 249.5 million.
Under the agreement, City Axis will issue 9,980 billion units of share to buy Invomas that runs the plantation. According to original plan, Indofood through its subsidiary in Singapore Singco will have 98.7% of the shares of City Axis, which will be renamed Indofood Agri Resources (IndoAgri). After the deal is concluded, Indofood will launch right issue in the Singapore Stock Exchange...
