CHEVRONTEXICO DONATES SANGEA SOFTWARE TO API.

ChevronTexaco Corp. (NYSE:CVX) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) have signed an agreement by which ChevronTexaco transfered ownership of its SANGEA(TM) Energy and Emissions Estimating System to API, enabling energy and petrochemical companies, government regulatory agencies, and other industry regulatory groups to use the software, in conjunction with the API Compendium, to enhance voluntary reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.
