MIRANT TO REDUCE EMISSIONS IN MASSACHUSETTS.

Mirant, Sandwich, Mass., will improve Massachusetts air quality by significantly reducing emissions from its 1,100 megawatt oil and natural gas fired power plant in Sandwich, Mass. Mirant's Canal plant is the first power plant in Massachusetts to undertake early emission reductions as part of the state's effort to achieve the toughest air emission standards in the U.S. for steam-electric plants.
