It has been accepted increasingly that small entrepreneurial businesses in high-technology sectors have contributed to job creation, regional development, technology transfer, and technological innovation (Stringer 2000; Jones-Evans 1996; Roberts 1991; Smilor, Gibson, and Kozmetsky 1989).
