When the Brazilian government presents visiting dignitaries such as the Emperor of Japan, the King of Spain, Queen Elizabeth II of England, Queen Silvia of Sweden, the President of Finland, or First Ladies from the United States, Portugal, Ukraine, and Russia, among other countries, with a symbol of Brazil, more often than not, it turns to Clementina Duarte. And no wonder; this gifted jewelry designer is truly the vanguard in the creation of what is now considered to be "Brazilian style."
