The World Diamond Congress is the official forum where the General Assemblies of the diamond industry's two major representative organizations, the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA), meet every two years. At the 2006 edition, the two bodies tackled a wide range of subjects, but the focus was clearly on two issues--consumer confidence, and personal and corporate responsibility in the diamond business.
