WE ARE ...
Located in Northern Michigan, Coding Products has been manufacturing heat transfer inks since 1977. With an established product line of code dating ribbons, we went on to become the first company to develop and manufacture thermal transfer ribbons in the United States.

Our business is composed of three operating units defined by their products manufactured and customers served: hot stamp imprint ribbons, thermal transfer ribbons and hot ink rollers.

Coding Products' customers are unique and their printing needs are diverse. We form strong partnerships with our customers to design and develop ribbons specifically for their business. Our Chemistry, Sales, and Service team members are experienced veterans when it comes to navigating through the certification processes to gain approval from FDA, UL, CSA, and ISO, to mention a few.
Our pool of technical experts range from coating and chemistry specialists to adhesives and plastics professionals. Every ingredient to create a company that has become the leader in heat transfer ink development.
WE ARE DIVERSE ...
Coding Products Thermal Transfer Ribbons and Hot Stamp Imprinting Foils can be found in a wide range of industries such as:
Card printing: Full color range of ribbons for printing credit cards and ID cards including tipping and scratch-off products.
Security cards, signs and labels: As more stringent security measures and access systems are needed, Coding Products will be there to develop the products you need. Already available are ribbons that print UV readable transparent inks, UV readable fluorescing pigmented inks, UV black ink and other covert security features.
Medical/pharmaceutical: Labels, IV solution/blood bags, hospital wristbands, various pouch applications and more.
Pipe/fiber optic cable/wire: Identification printing on polyethylene pipe and fiber optic cable/wire jacketing material.
Food: Sell-by and/or expiration date, lot code, product name, price, ingredients, bar codes, etc.
Durable labels: Ribbons for labels subjected to sterilization, acid etching, high temps for ceramic applications, solder baths, chemicals, abrasive environments.

WE ARE COATERS ...
* Six production single station coating lines featuring direct gravure or Meyer rod coating stations.
* Maximum web width ranges from 27" to 75".
* Maximum OD on rewind range from 23" to 26".
* All coaters are solvent capable.
* Three coaters capable of handling 10-12 micron film and three coaters capable of handling 5-6 micron film.
* Ovens feature direct fire, conventional curing technology.
* Coating lines are supported with in-house compounding and milling capability.
WE ARE SLITTERS
* Nine production slitters with razor knife slitting systems.
* Maximum web width ranges are from 27" to 65".
* Maximum OD on rewind range from 6" to 21".
* Slit width range from .5" to full web width.
* Two spoolers with 8" mini-master and maximum OD on rewind of 16".
* Spoolers capable of slit widths from .25" to .5".
