OMNOVA Solutions has introduced its new SUNCRYL 4338 primer coating polymer, an environmentally friendly product for the tape and label market. This ready-to-use modified styrene-butadiene copolymer can be formulated into primer coatings for paper based silicone release liners. It can be utilized alone or in combination with pigments, starches, thickeners, lubricants or other ingredients to optimize performance characteristics. SUNCRYL 4338 is specifically designed to work with rod or knife coating applications. Additionally, this product consists of approximately one-third renewable raw materials (excluding water), which provides tape and label release liner customers with a more environmentally preferred solution.
