I.D. Images buys Concorde Labeling
Label & Narrow Web, Oct, 2009
I.D. Images, a label converter in Brunswick, OH, USA, has acquired the assets of Cincinnati, OH-based Concorde Labeling Systems Inc. The acquisition, according to I.D. Images President Brian Gale, enlarges the company's distribution footprint to meet the growing demand for product identification media products in the region.
"The acquisition also provides added custom and short-run capabilities to our distribution partners," Gale says. "These capabilities align strategically with I.D. Images' focus on higher value segments like the medical industry, chemical industry and consumer durables.
"Concorde Label is an excellent fit with I.D. Images, as both companies share a 'customer centric' approach to business. We look forward to working with Dan and Larry Gibboney and the team at Concorde."
I.D. Images will continue to maintain operations at the existing Concorde Label facility and expects to expand products distributed out of that facility to better service customers in that region, says Gale.
I.D. Images was recently awarded certification for TLMI's Project LIFE, the Label Initiative for the Environment. The project allows TLMI members to evaluate and improve their environmental performance across a range of metrics, and concludes with a third-party audit.
"TLMI needs to be commended for their leadership position in building awareness and challenging our Industry to make improvements in environmental responsibility," says Tammy Bivins, production manager at I.D. Images. "Project LIFE is a great mechanism to share best practices and elevate our involvement to the next level, as we have experienced significant improvements as a result."
I.D. Images, founded in 1995, is a manufacturer of converted label media for the variable information printing market. The company, which sells exclusively through distributors, specializes in such markets as transport and logistics, retail, food and beverage, office products, consumer durables and healthcare.
