Red Roof Inns is finally ready to go after the business traveler market. The economy chain last month signed a deal with T-Mobile Hot Spot to provide wireless Internet access in all guestrooms and public areas at the chain's 359 properties. All 39,000 guestrooms will have the service within 12 to 18 months, says the company.

The added technology amenity rounds out the chain's transformation plait to become more attractive to road warriors. So far, about 20 percent of properties have been renovated and outfitted with Red's New Rooms, upgraded guest units that include amenities ...
