Nikon has recently joined Olympus, Sony, and Minolta in the 5-megapixel digital-camera market, with the introduction of the Coolpix 5000. The $1,099 camera's feature set and interface are based on Nikon's popular Coolpix 900 series, but the 5000 has a new body design and offers more control than any other camera in its class.
