Front office: At the Wall Street Journal, Chris Collins has been named vice president of multimedia sales; previously, he was vice president of multimedia sales at ESPN. A 10-year veteran of ESPN, Collins served in a variety of sales roles at the company, including doing a stint as publisher of ESPN The Magazine.

Earlier, Collins sold ads for magazines including Medical Times Magazine, Men's Health Magazine and Cosmopolitan Magazine. Also at the Journal, Jamie Friedman Altschul has been named associate publisher and ad director of the paper's new glossy magazine, "Pursuits"; previously, she was the paper's multimedia sales director, a job she'd held for about a year. Earlier, Friedman was with Vanity Fair and Town & Country Magazine. ... At The Sentinel Newsgroup of Murphy, N.C. (Cherokee Sentinel, et al.), Thomas Roskelly has been named ad director; previously, he was a sales associate at the Cherokee Scout, a job he'd held since February. Early in his career, Roskelly sold ads for papers in Florida, including the St. Petersburg Times and Evening Independent and the Lakeland Ledger.
