Nutraceuticals World, Dec, 2005
Institut Rosell has unveiled the results of a double-blind, placebo-controlled randomized trial performed with its ProbioStick in stressed patients. After three weeks of daily administration of the probiotic, it appeared that stress-induced gastrointestinal symptoms, nausea and abdominal pain, were significantly reduced by 49%, compared to the control group. Moreover, the probiotic treatment seemed to reduce cardiovascular symptoms, such as palpitations. ProbioStick was well tolerated and no adverse effects were observed in healthy volunteers. ProbioStick previously showed good acceptance by consumers, and its easy-to use, on-the-go format makes it a highly compliant and effective solution for active, stressed people.
