20,000 products on display at PLMA show: Nov. 17-19 event to draw 4,000+ retailers, wholesalers and other visitors. (The Private Eye).

Manufacturers Association trade show, themed "Legend of Store Brands," is slated for Nov. 17 to 19 at the Rosemont Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill., just outside Chicago.

Some 2,100 exhibit booths will display 20,000 products from more than 35 countries, according to PLMA, which expects more than 4,000 retailers, wholesalers and other visitors.

To Brian Sharoff, PLMA president, the Legend of Store Brands theme symbolizes the historic origins of the private label industry, which began in colonial times. "This is not a Johnny-Come-Lately. This is as much a part of the fabric of our country as anything else," he says.

Two halls on the show floor house food and beverages, and one houses non-food exhibits....
