Doane Pet Care Co., Brentwood, Tenn., closes two plants and shuts down two production lines at a third in a major cost-savings initiative. The company will close its 95,000-square-foot biscuit plant in Hillburn, N.Y., and its 55,000-square-foot semi-moist plant in Delavan, Wis. In addition, Doane will permanently shut down its dry dog and cat food production lines at its Portland, Ind., facility.

The company said it does not expect any disruption in service to customers.
