Canoga Park/West Hills: Canoga Park celebrated the third anniversary of being named an All America City at the "We Love Canoga Park" mixer on October 25th. This event was sponsored by Canoga Park Neighborhood Council, Canoga Park Improvement Association, Community Redevelopment Agency--Los Angeles, and the Canoga Park/West Hills Chamber of Commerce. The evening brought the community together. Councilman Dennis P. Zine was welcomed by Chamber President John Parker, Parker Brown, Inc. and Canoga Park Neighborhood Council President Michael Cortez. Most of the individuals who went to Atlanta to represent Canoga Park at the All America City Award Competition were on hand as well, Councilman Dennis P. Zine, 3rd District, Vicki Gilkey, CRA/LA, Joe Andrews, Prudential California Realty, Mary Paterson, Canoga Park Improvement District, and Jean Jauck, Canoga Owensmouth Historical Society.

The Canoga Park/West Hills Chamber of Commerce and the West Hills Neighborhood Council celebrated West Hills' 20th Anniversary at the 4th Annual West Hills Fall Fest on October 7th. County Supervisor Zev Yaroslavsky and City Councilman Dennis P. Zine honored Ed Youngblood and Steven Lenske Co-Presidents of the West Hills Neighborhood Council. Although the candles could not be lit due to the high winds, over 500 people shared the birthday cake that was provided by A Sweet Design Cakes of Canoga Park.
