Largest meeting facilities: ranked by total square footage of meeting space in the greater San Fernando Valley

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

THE top five meeting facilities in the greater Fernando Valley all have at least 20 meeting rooms.

While most of the largest greater Valley meeting facilities are in hotels, a few are also in other venues such as universities.

Among those, California State University Northridge, which ranks No. 3 on the Business Journal's list, has 43,337 square feet of meeting space in 29 rooms.

Woodbury University in Burbank, which holds the No. 10 spot, has 15,500 square feet of meeting room space in 12 different rooms.

Those wanting to house their meetings outside company offices can find 16 greater Valley facilities where the largest meeting room is at least 10,000 square feet.

The top two meeting facilities in the greater Valley include the Hilton Los Angeles in Universal City at No. 1 and Marriott Burbank Airport Hotel & Convention Center, No. 2.

THE PACESETTER

HILTON LOS ANGELES/UNIVERSAL CITY

THE Hilton Los Angeles/Universal City this year rose to No. 1 on the Business Journal's list thanks to a renovation last year that included a redesign of the hotel's outdoor space to accommodate additional meeting space.

The Hilton in Universal City, which had operated with about 30,000 square feet of meeting space, now offers some 60,000 square feet of meeting space, including its outdoor courtyard areas, according to Mark O'Neal, marketing director.
