NSF awards $2.7 million to train a new breed of engineers.

The National Science Foundation awarded $2.7 million to Lehigh University and the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business to develop Ph.D. programs in manufacturing logistics. As part of NSF's Integrative Graduate Education and Research Training program, the grant will offer training in streamlining planning, coordination, and service.
