A. Alan B. Pritsker and Jerry Banks were honored by the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences College on Simulation at the Winter Simulation Conference in December 1999.
Pritsker received the lifetime professional achievement award in honor of his contributions to computer simulation during the past 44 years. David Goldsman, chair of the award selection committee, noted Pritskers significant contributions to the theory and methodology of discrete and combined discrete-continuous system simulation as well as his innovative applications of this technology to large-scale operational problems in industrial and scientific organizations.
