Never mind what "new economy" gurus say, executives in North America still opt for tried-and-true management tools to address the fundamentals of cost and corporate direction. The eighth annual Bain & Co. "Management Tools Survey," a compilation of the insights of 245 senior executives, tracks opinions from across more than 30 industries.
The survey showed that although emerging management tools such as customer relationship management and corporate venturing have received much attention in the past year, they aren't yet close to the hearts and minds of managers.
