While Disney World plays host to the imagination, Erin Wallace, senior vice president of Disney World's resort operations, deals in practicality. Orlando, Fla., home to Walt Disney World, will host IIE's 2002 Annual Conference May 19-22. Wallace will deliver a keynote address at the conference May21.
Wallace completes her work objectives among images of Mickey Mouse, Cinderella, and other Disney icons. She oversees the reality behind the dreams at Disney's theme parks and resorts. Two of the theme parks, Disney World and the newer Animal Kingdom, fall under Wallace's direct responsibility. If that weren't enough to keep any industrial engineer busy, Wallace also manages 12,000 guest rooms at seven Disney resorts.
