The company is launching Butabital, Acetaminophen, Caffeine & Codeine Phosphate capsules (generic version of Fioricet with Codeine) in the third quarter of 2004.
Breckenridge markets over 100 products in a variety of dosage forms, including tablets, capsules (including soft gel), liquids, suspensions and suppositories.
The company's lines comprise products in numerous therapeutic categories, including antihistamines, analgesics, urinary antiseptics, anticholinergics/antispasmodics, digestive enzymes and a number of cough/cold products.
"Our product line is constantly reviewed and updated to meet changing market conditions," says vice president of business development Larry Lipila. "We are currently detailing and sampling physicians on our value brands."
These value brands include Duotan PD Suspension, Ferrex 150/Ferrex 150 Forte, Folbee/Folbee Plus tablets, Histade capsules, Syntest H.S./Syntest D.S. tablets, Vinate GT tablets, Vinate II "New Formula" and the Crantex family of products.
In addition, Breckenridge is currently developing over 10 abbreviated new drug application products, which it plans to file with the Food and Drug Administration in 2004 and 2005. This will prepare the company for significant growth in the coming years, according to Lapila.
"By focusing our efforts on product development, we offer our customers a steady stream of new items," notes Lapila.
Breckenridge customers have come to expect--and continue to receive--consistently high service levels and customer service response time, he adds.
"We make it easy to do business with us," maintains vice president of sales Marty Schatz. "Breckenridge has an experienced sales team that reaches all major customer classes of trade, including wholesalers, distributors, chains and managed care companies."
